Ah, you don't have to open a door today, here's the image here for you.  It's my 'card' for you all this year, all the images bar one (the snowflake card, that's from Jon, who is currently swearing at a Fantasia DVD) are by me.

So it's Christmas Eve, one of my favourite days.  I think you always keep some of that magical feeling which you just can't explain from when you are young enough to still believe in Santa (in psychological terms this could be seen as classical conditioning).

It will probably be business as usual round here, we're staying at home.  Whatever you celebrate, believe or don't believe in, have a wonderful few days.  Don't eat too much and make sure you get to the Christmas edition of the Radio Times with your highlighter before anyone else does.

The internet and I don't seem to be getting on very well at the moment, so just being quick about posts.  Open the door here for one of my photos of festive Edinburgh.

Shopping tip, I've been spending time looking through notonthehighstreet.com, it's got some great house stuff, toys, jewellery, accessories etc.  And via Mav, hygge shop.

Oh, and today we had our work Christmas lunch at the nearby Hilton.  Accompanying my vegetable tartlet were 'a panache of vegetables'.  I was actually quite jealous of the meat eaters as they got 'a thyme and honey farce' with their turkey.
